Default metra vs american international dash kits

anybody used any of these?

I currently have the scosche and just found out that the pocket is not removable...

I need to fit my omnifi in the slot below the DIN radio...

will the metra or AI kits allow these to fit?

which one is better..

I'm a fan of the Metra Kits over AI, I had an AI kit when I had my AVIC N1 and there were a little uneven gaps around the radio. Same thing when I changed to a D1. Bought the Metra kit and now it fits perfectly! I have 2 for sale if you need one. $10 shipped, only thing missing is the Double Din trim ring made for Double Din radios

this allows me to have 2 radios (1din / 1 iso)?

i don't need the double din, just the dual slots without pocket...

let me know if this works as I'm interested

I had both kits and used the Metra and sent the American International back for a refund. The Metra was more solid and a better fit. I have the Pioneer AVIC N2 as well and wasn't looking to mount anything in the lower pocket.

I used the Metra for my N1 and its great. Fitment and the secure mouting is top notch. The kit also has the double din provision when I switch to the Z1 down the road.

Metra +1. You might be able to see the fit in that photo of my Kenwood headunit I sent you.

Last we heard on these boards, Metra is saying the kit will be out some time in late May.

metra it is... by the way if anybody is looking for a scosche kit that has the pocket in it, I'll be selling mine, soon as I get the Metra from w8lifter21 ...

it's a nice kit, fitment is decent and looks solid, only problem it can only be used as a single DIN with pocket... 10 dollars shipped...
