I have been debating on the Pioneer D2 or N3. If Navigation is your goal, it will generally cost you around $400.00 more to have the same features with the Kenwood. As far as the debate between the D2 and N3, the D2 lacks DVD playback and DVD-R compatability, a major downside to me at least. The D2 cannot import custom background images from CD-r which is also a major feature I am looking forward to. There is also voice control which is not supported on the Avic D2 but is usable with the N3 with CD-VC1 voice module. All of these features led me to choose the N3 over the D2. I originally thought If I have a double Din opening I should make the most of it, but with the motorized screen being closer to the line of sight, I think it will work out nicely. My N3 should be here sometime this week.

BTW I had the Pioneer vs Kenwood debate with my boss at the stereo store I install at on the weekends, he also pointed out that the kenwood has less Points of Interest than the Pioneer units, not to mention that the Pioneer D2 and N3 have access to XM Nav Traffic for real time traffic jam avoidance.
Hope this helps your decision.

D2 Question for anyone who knows.

I'm wondering if this is possible running the D2.

I want to have an auxilary DVD source wired into the auxilary video input of the D2. I then want to have a secondary monitor that is receiving the auxilary video output from the D2. If the D2 is wired like this, is it possible to view video on the 2nd screen and still run navigation on the main D2 screen?
