need help wiring into fuse box
I am attempting to wire my Valentine directly to the fuse panel. I do not have a service manual (yet, on the way). Before I destroy the trim molding that goes around the door (looks like that has to come off) can someone tell me how to remove the panel surrounding the fuse block?
TIA

You shouldn't need to remove any trim around the fusebox door. I'm assuming that you're running the wire in the traditional way (along the headliner & down the A-pillar.) If you look down at the driver's side kick panel, there's about a 1/4 inch gap between the top of it and the bottom of the panel above it (where the air vent is.) You should be able to run your power cord down through there, and then put your other hand through the fusebox opening (there's a tab on the top of the fusebox door that you depress to open it) and pull the wire through.
Good luck with your install.

Thanks for the reply Gary but I have run the wire from the top of the gauge pod in the center of the dash, behind the console & then 'in' the dash above the pedals over to the fuse area. Now I would like to remove the panel that the fuse access panel is in so I can get at the wiring. I want a separate circuit for the detector.
I don't think my 1s post was very clear in what I am trying to do.
Thanks anyway.
