Cubby question on 03
if i were to say, GUT my 03 cubby so there is nothing behind the sliding door, how much space would i have going back including behind the dash? sorry, hard to describe, i want to know how much room i can get.
well......i want to put some equipment in there, such as a computer the size of a mac mini. dimensions are 6.5"(W) x 1.97"(H) x 6.5"(D). AND i was thinking of putting a custom 7 inch screen in front of it. i just dont know if it will all fit.

Also, that spot gets warm from radiant heat coming up from the transmission tunnel, HU etc., I don't think even the mac mini would want to live in there.
Chris
^hyper, what ya dont know is that the ac piping comes through there, its a relatively cool area. Now that i have my interior out, the ac blows right on that spot and the cubby is like a cooler.
I dont think a mac mini will fit. Try behind the passenger seat and running cables out of it under the carpet up to the cubby where a display would be

yeah, that thing is huge! if you remove it youd have a ton of space.
but why not go with behind the passenger seat, itll be out of the way and hidden. You can tap into the 12v power source and justrun the video cable and sound up the center console..........no space issues.
