Default 2 JL 8's or 1 JL 10w6????

Ok here's the thing, I already have all my gear for my car:

Infinity perfects 6.1 components in the doors
Infinity 62.5i I think Coax's in rears

600 x 4 Kenwood for 4 speakers
280 x 2 Mtx for subs ..... here's where my question comes in,
I currently have a powerwedge box with 2 10w0's however the box will not fit in the trunk as I am sure all of you know. I have the option of a custom box (firing backward from under the strut bar) using the 10w0's which I currently own, or i can go a custom sealed box where the bose sub is supposed to go with 2 JL 8w3v2's or a single 10w6v2.

What are you guy's thoughts on which will sound/work the best, the only reason I lean towards the bose location is because I don't want stereo equipment sitting out in my car for people to want to steal.

Thanks for any input you might have,

Go with the setup i did, subs under the rear strut bar gives the best sound and dosent sound muddy at all, looks nice too. Dont get W0s, W3s are much better.

Default check out my install

I just read your thread. Look at my install thread (sub enclosure grp buy) . I had a sub enclosure that will fit what you want to do. If you want 2 8" or 10" you can just do both sides. Let me know if I can help in anyway,

I have 2 8" subs behind the driver seat in a custom box and it sounds excellent. no room in the rear trunk area was taken.

Default to each his own.....

The custom box behind the driver seat is another choice and Nissan selected that place. It maximizes space but for sound, the optimal locations is further away from the listeners. In addition, if you look at the place I put my sub, it is basically level to the side of the car and no real space is lost. I started out wanting mine to be totally stealth but considering optimal sound quality, I opted for the location I ended up with. I am happy that you are pleased with your set up and sub location behind the driver seat. After all, modifying your car is all about choices.

When I got mine installed, the plan was if I did not like it, my installer would put my sug enclosure behind the seat like yours and keep the enclosure he made me in the rear at no cost to me. I love what I got so it all worked out in the end.
