Default one 500/1 amp for 2 10w6's???

hey guys had a guy on ebay i bought a sub from and his communication was horrible piece of **** seller to be honest. He said he would give me a refund so i assumed i would get it. So bought another 10w6 from a more trusty person arrived in 3 business days including the day i bought. Now that dumb **** sends me a message saying it shipped so i guess my refund is out of the question and im puttin in my system tomorrow i already payed for the sub so i can sell it or buy a new box and try to use one 500/1 to push them both is this doable. If not ill just sell it but if its possible then i might wanna use the product i already paid for. Thanks for any replies.

The 10W6's are dual 4 ohm coils, so wire each sub in parallel to 2 ohm, then wire them in series together to show the amp 4 ohms, each sub will see 250 watts rms. As per JL's website, the optimum power range for the 10W6 is 250-500 rms watts. You should be good.

I wouldn't recommend running two 10W6's with one 500/1 amplifier. If you run them at optimum power range (300 watts per subwoofer is optimum) you will most likely fry the amplifier over time. However, if you underpower them the sound quality will be poor... You can probably get away with it, but I wouldn't do it. Just my $.02... Good luck either way!

I ran that same set up for about 12 months and it sounded great. As long as you have a box that is up to specs that is.
