Default Leave the DVD in the NAVI?

Searched for a while and couldn't find whether or not it's recommended to leave the NAVI DVD in the OEM player or to remove it periodically. I can't imagine why, but just thought I'd ask. If you don't plan on using it, I would guess the constant accessing would maybe cause early wear?

Neither the owners manual or the navi manual say anything about it. Just makes mention of not storing the dvd in the sun.

I never take mine out. It sits in the parking lot at work in the 100 degree plus Summer heat and during the mild SE Va winters. Never had a problem.

That's kind of what I figured. Especially when the owner's manual didn't even mention it.

Thanks.
