Default PESWIX Interface From Active Tuning

Wow what a breeze this thing was to install. Took less than 30 mins and the directions are idiot proof. Now I dont have to look at useless steering wheel radio controls anymore thanks to the PESWIX Interface unit from Active Tuning. I am using it in my 2006 350Z with a Alpine CDA-9855 headunit, and now my steering wheel radio controls function like they did straight out of the factory. For those of you with aftermarket headunits and non functioning steering wheel controls I highly suggest you get one of these bad boys. It was only $69.99 with free shipping, and arrived at my door a few days after I ordered it.

Here is a direct link to Active Tuning.

Thanks Dave from Active Tuning

Hey that's great, but what exactly is the difference between this and the PESWIAKJ from peripheral?

Hey, I believe we are talking through e-mail.

The PESWIAKJ is for GM vehicles:

• Retains steering wheel heater and A/C controls on all equipped GM vehicles

Don't think you'd want that

Yes we are going via email! I thought the PESWIAKJ was specific for alpine and other brands such as JVC...I'll carry on via email!

It doesn't have to do with the manufacturer. As long as you have a remote with your Alpine headunit, you will have no problem. The only incompatabilities for the PESWIX are listed here:

the HU is a CDE-9850Ri (apparently NA in the US) and it did not come with a remote. it is however "remote control ready" and it has a mini jack on the back APPARENTLY for steering wheel control. I am asking for some additional info on this other thread BEFORE I spend any MORE STUPID money :
