Default JL audio box...does it come out??

I run my car at the track sometimes and would love to get the JL audio box that goes under the strut...is it possible to remove it and unplug it easily just like a regular box or is it pretty much stuck in there??

No, based on the instructions, it bolts down, and would be a real pain to take it out.

You can get any other under the strut box which stays in place by merely wedging itself between the strut bar and the floor.

Those are easy to take out... just search on ebay.

i forgot what they're called, but the nuts with the sharp edge side that, when initially tightened with the bolt, clamps down into the wood and sticks in the wood even when the bolt is removed. this will allow for removability and security. just attach the bolt from underneath through the sheet metal, through the box and into the nut. i'm glad i paid attention in manufacturing processes in school! haha.

My JL box doesn't go under the strut...it sits behind it. Mine isn't bolted in either, so it's pretty easy to take out. It doesn't move around either b/c it's pretty heavy.
