Default Alpine W200 install question

Hello there,

I am looking for some input on installing an Alpine W200 unit in my 04 roadster. How easy it it to do yourself? I have never installed a car stereo but it doesn't appear to be too difficult. Any hints on which dash kit to use? Does it have to be modified? I have read in previous posts that the mounting holes need to be redrilled forward a little. Any other hints? Thanks in advance for any tips or input.

David

Do you have the bose system?

If so are you going to use the internal head-end amplifiers by-passing the bose ones, or purchase external amplifiers, or connect into the cute little bose amplifiers.

There's an available wiring harness which will solder to the Alpine connector and then plug straight into the stock harness.

Make sure you install the beauty plate to allow the motorized face to swing open and close with ease. It is a really tight fit.
