Default Rear view camera

I'm going to install my eclipse rear view camera this weekend. So where are people mounting these things? I can't do it close to the trunk button and I don't like the idea of having it offset, so I was thinking about mounting it on the liscence plate. Thoughts?

how about buy the build in cam with the license plate? Around $200. Much better. No need to drill.

I would ask the California Department of Motor Vechicals what they think of mounting a camera on the license plate first ... before you get the chance to pay a couple hundred bucks for their desenting opinion.

Mine is "offset" by one and a half inches from the center line and you can't tell at all when using it.

most local car audio/video shop will have it or you can order online or from Ebay. Around $200 to $250.

120 wide angle view with night vision. The best i ever use so far. Highly recommend.

I have one too. Unlike others, you will not see me recommend something that i don't know or don't use it first hand.
