Default Finally, pics of my install...

First off, I have to give some credit to Nazar at Wicked, Chris at Elemental Design, Knuconceptz and my installer Adam at Extreme Audio in Murrietta, CA. All the above guys and company had incredible customer service, products and really worked me to figure out what I wanted and needed to make it all work. I also purchased from Crutchfield, they do have quick service, respond promptly to questions and the free shipping, no sales tax and free installation parts was nice. My only complaint is their unwillingness to price match other authorized vendors. Ok, without further plugging here is the list of components installed and the almost finished product:

Alpine IVAW200 in dash DVD player
Alpine full speed ipod control
a/d/s components all around
Nazars 2006 door pods
Nazars corner magic box
Elemental Design amps (nine2x pushing the sub and nine4x biamped to the front components, rears are running off the deck)
Knuconceptz Klarity wires for amps and speakers, distribution block, etc...
Raamatt throughout car (two layers on the doors and trunk. Also added a layer of ensolite. This made a huge difference)

Now for the install:

I will be adding either the audiobahn or memphis 3 way electronic cross over to help tune the two amps and have a boost control up front. It will also hopefully boost the 2volt output of the deck to help clean up the sound. Overall the system sounds incredible. I really love the a/d/s and amount of midbass they provide without being harsh in terms of the tweeter as well when turned up. I originally had a elemental sub, but it blew the first day. Elemental is sending a replacement out at no cost. The memphis carbon fiber sub is for sq only, it does sound great, but I want something that hits a little harder. A second sub may be added behind the driver seat if the bass boost of the cross over doesn't solve my desire for more bass. There is also a perforated grill to cover up the equipment for total stealth and protection from the sun. Overall, I am very pleased and the install was very clean and cost effective.

The door pods really look stock as does the sub enclosure. All the shops who have seen them were really impressed by the quality and look. The enclosure is small, so it may not provide the bass everyone is looking for, but does avoid losing your trunk or spare.

The deck looks incredible and the sound quality is far superior to the stock unit. The ipod control and touchscreen are sweet. There is also a stealthy toggle switch to allow me to watch movies while driving or navigation later. The screen looks VERY good when playing a movie and keeps me from having to talk to my girlfriend on long drives.

I think before you bother with the noise inducing crossovers you should look at the alpine processing unit which adds crossover control to your deck as well as a ton of other features..

Also, if you want to add bass. I would suggest another custom built corner box before a sub behind the seat. I think what you are suggesting would sound terrible. I had two corner boxes that were built by one of my friends and ended up fitting like crap but sounded amazing.

Those componenets look nice. The old school A/d/s stuff is nice but I have yet to see any of the new stuff personally.

looks great! are you going to have them replace the bezel with the 06 when it comes out...I think it'll look more stock with that! Great install either way!

that looks awesome, you have to tell me where you got the Nazar speaker pods. I spent hours this weekend making angled speaker spacers to clear the window.

I am considering the Alpine processor, but the Memphis and audiobahn crossovers/signal processors are half the cost and offer everything I am looking for. The alpine does offer a lot more, but a lot of it are things I would never really use. Based on my installers recommendation, I will probably go with the Memphis unit. So far he has been right on. If I was to do things over again, I would of just ditched the spare tire and had him put everything on the floor instead of messing with where to put the subs, but the corner unit offered a good solution and sweet fit. The bass really compliments the music and fills in nicely, I am just looking to feel the bass more. The memphis sub is also fairly minimal, when I get the elemental design sub back in there, I may change my mind.

The other added benefit of the Memphis or Audiobahn is the bass control remote that would be added along with them. The components are what I was least certain about, but after installing and hearing them, they are by far my favorite part.

The bezel will probably not be replaced, it just is not a big enough issue to give me the urge to do it.

I purchased the pods and enclosure directly from Nazar. He is excellent to deal with and purchase from. Every shop quoted me a similiar or slightly higher price to match his pods, but the quality of Nazars really do stand out. I regret not posting pictures sooner to show everyone how nice they really are, but my job has been crazy for two weeks.

It did bubble, and will be addressed when I put in the Elemental Design Ov11 sub. The Memphis is a temporary fill in. The vinyl was not done by Nazar, so please do not think that reflects his work. He did the door pods and my installer did the corner box, but realized the sub came damaged and did a quick fix and substitute.

I agree please do not add either of these two crossovers. You have great quality equipment do not mess it up by adding ok equipment. If you really want to add a processor add the Alpine one that connects to the headunit, if that route is more than you want to spend atleast get a great quality crossover like Audio Control.

Yes, they are the 3 piece Foose Speedsters. I love the look of the wheels, they look much better in person, and they add the additional style and luxury I was going for with my Z. However, they do weigh a ton, especially with 20's in the rear. This of course translates in a loss of acceleration and handling. Since this is my weekend cruiser and road trip car, I don't mind the trade off, but the handling is compromised as well as off the line acceleration. Considering they were free, I cannot complain.

In terms of the crossover, I am debating it at the moment. I am considering losing the spare and putting a hard hitting twelve or quality fifteen instead of the corner box as well. This is my first true system, so I am sure I will go through a couple phases and setups. I am certain about the a/d/s (with pods) and the amps, the rest is good enough for now.

I will look into that audio control unit, did anyone have any additional recommendations? Mainly I am trying to squeeze some more bass out of the sub, my options were adding another sub in the corner, just ditching the corner unit for a larger unit in the spare well, or going with a sound processor/line driver setup. Suggestions are welcomed.

If you are seriously considering put a sub in the spare tire well, I would think about an eclipse titanium cone.

Also, you should check out a 'bass cube' from phoenix gold. It is an eq that basically boosts the sub frequencies which the alpine does not allow you to do. I think you would be much happier with that due to the quality of all PG products.

I absolutely love the Eclipse Titanium series. Please stop tempting me to spend money market account!!! I will more than likely go with a Elemental Design ov13/16, or the Eclipse. The high end Memphis subs look pretty nice as well, but so do the Boston Acoustic G5s. The nine2x pushed the single ten way too much, so a more robust 12 or 15 may be the good solution. The two tens in a understrut box would take up too much of what is left in the trunk and probably add more weight than the single 12 or 15 in the spare well.

I saw two eclipse titaniums for 275 a peice the other day hehe

An RE sub would be nice too. The series right bellow the XXX take tiny boxes which would be perfect for a sub in the spare tire place.

You might want to look at the new Boston Acoustics SPG555 sub. It only requires 1 cubic foot of airspace.
