Question Amp, speakers and sub replacement.

I am looking to replace the Amp, speakers and sub in my touring.
I would like the speakers and sub to replace originals without any modifications. For the Amp I would like to use one unit, maybe a 5 channel Amp that will easily replace the original.

For speakers Onecoolee has recommended JL XR650-CSi in front and JL VR650-Cxi in back.

Any recommendation will be appreciated.

I'll just recommend JL all around, they have great products across the board.

Also look at any of the following brands,
xtant (amps & subs)
Image Dynamics (subs)
Boston (speakers & subs)
Zapco (amps)
A/D/S (amps)
Soundstream (amps)
Focal (speakers)
Diamond (speakers and subs)
Phoenix Gold (amps)
Eclipse (subs)

Also if you are not planning on going with a video setup (where you'd want the surrond sound), I'd recommend going to a damn good 3 channel amp and loose the rear speakers or power them off the HU.

I am using the Kicker 700.5 amp to run my whole system.
40x4 @ 4 ohms and 400x1 @ 2 ohms. It is definately clean and loud, however I think my polk seperates would like a little more power...

Jason,

Did you sub fit in the original location?
Do you use the original HU?

Yes I have the stock head unit, just used to line level to rca converters which I mounted behind the radio(just in case I change my head). And no the sub didn't fit . The magnet on the solobaric L7 is HUGE. It wouldn't even fit by itself even without a box. The magnet hit the top of the gas tank sending unit.... It is in a custom box in the spare tire well... It sounds better than the 2- 12's I had in my Prelude...
