Default Car Audio for Home Use?

I am having custom landscaping in my backyard and want to have an audio system installed in the gazebo.

I want to install a car CD player deck (1 or 2 din size) powered by low voltage wires to power the outdoor speakers. I am using low voltage bacause the lighting is also powered by a low voltage system.

Is this possible?

There are better ways but it's possible. I'd probably go with a marine cd player though.

Your Malibu lighting system might be using 12 VAC vice the 13.6 VDC that you need. If it's a DC system it's likely not to have enough current at volume and the voltages tend to not be regulated meaning that they dip when put to a load. If you could run 120 VAC and then use a regulated 13.6 VDC power supply I think you'd be golden out there with the car stereo equipment. I built a rocking car stereo system in a box for use my dorm room years before they had boom-boxes.
