I plan on building a custom sub enclosure for a Jl 12W6v2 sub, my question is what diam circle should i make to mount it. My instincts tell me duh 12" but maybye is like 12.5" i dunno can sombody please tell me ?

Typically it's less then the woofer size. I'm dialup but I'll see what I can't dig up. Typically the woofer size referes to the cone/surround diameter which is usually 1" bigger or so then the hole diameter.

edited - Alright, JLs site didn't help me . Your best bet is just wait to cut the hole till you have the sub.
