Default Which is better?

I have two questions.?
1.) What kind/brand of sub is placed in the stock Bose stereo system?

2.) Which system would be better, converting the luggage compartemnt into another sub location and haveing two stock looking sub locations? Or having a custom bax placed in the trunk hatch area.? What is the best location for subs.?

THanks

Default HATCH !!! All the way...

Any sub will sound better in the hatch versus the stock sub/compartments. I prefer the zland/Paul design with one 10" sub, personally. I am designing a custom enclosure myslef in this same area, but of a differnet design. Alot of people have tried the infinite baffle approach in the stock sub locations, but are not happy. I would say to stick with the sub in the hatch, and leave the factory sub compartment for amps...

Here is my amp rack:

Between those two setups pictured nither are very great for acoustics but both should sound decent and provide acceptable bass although I'd go with the corner sub location in the trunk first. Typically in a hatch having the sub facing the hatch window or the back of the car will get you the best SQ and higher bass readings. You really want the sub to be firing towards something to bounce off of (the hatch is a great thing) and towards you. Search the Subs, subs, subs post stickied at the top for some other great sub locations.

thank you for all the responses...
they all look great.
but my one delema is that i need space for stuff in the back and cannot have a large box under the strt tower. THats why i am looking at the stock locations (ie both sides, 2 subs) or in the hatch with 2 subs in the corners.

thanks
