Default Does anyone else have this problem?

I installed a panasonic cd deck in my 04 and I have horrible radio reception, but everything is wired correctly. Any ideas to as what the problem might be? I am using the stock antenna, should I change it?

Make sure that you connected the blue wire for the power antenna. Also make sure that the antenna conector is pushed in all the way. If both of those are connected correctly plug in the factory radio and see if it gets good recption. Let me know what happens when you try these solutions and then I might be able to help you.

It's likely that the amplifier that's sitting in the rear right quarter panel isn't getting power.

Make sure you have the blue power antenna wire connected comming out of the aftermarket head unit to the wiring harness adpator. If that wont fix your problem, u might just want to take it to a local businees for some help

good thing I don't listen to the radio much because I didn't hook that wire up in the harness...I didn't realize the Z had a powered antenna.
No wonder the radio sound crappy.
