speaker question
I installed my Focal 165KF this weekend and for some reason the driver side overpowers the passenger side. I can't figure out why and its driving me nuts listening to one side over power the other. I installed the tweeters in the stock location and it is run by a jl 300/4 amp, any body have a clue why it is like this?

Check obvious:balance on headunit, amp gains if independent for left and right.
Check the impedance of each speaker at the amp. If they are the same, swap the left and right speaker wires(L=R, R=L on amp). If the driver side still over powers passenger side, switch the L and R RCA's at the amp to make sure problem is not with the head unit. If no change then check for continuty between speaker wires and ground. If you have continuity, speaker wire shorted. If there was a changed when you switched L and R Rca's then the Rca's are bad or Rca output from headunit is damaged.
Sorry it's hard to clearly type troubleshooting steps but hopefully this gives you a start.
