Have you adjusted your gains on the amp? Are there any dials or adjustments on the "FL LOC600 (LOC)"

Dont panic, if the amp is now, on its just a matter of setting the levels and gains

Check your Gains, Check your Grounds too. Are you sure you have the right speaker wires tapped (+ and -)

OK first thing to try is turn the gain up on the amp. If that doesnt work make sure you have all the + and - right. At the top of this forum page there is a wiring color code thread. If you have a crappy ground it can sometimes happen but sometimes it sparks if it isnt good enough.

I have never really liked LOC's. It used to suck putting them in cars.
Are you trying to keep the stock look in the dash by using the stock HU? Because if your putting a $700 amp and $300 sub in your car, might as well go for the gold and spend 150-200 on a new deck that has some good voltage preouts (4V or more) you wont need a LOC for. Plus you get more control of the audio system with aftermarket HU's. Just my opinion.

I have the same amp, it HAS to have a good ground to work. Double check it.

From Your Diagram, You seem to not have the Cap hooked up to anything?

Power should go from the Batterys + to the + on the Cap and then from the cap's + to the Amp. The Ground should Be to a Clean, Bare Metal Surface on the "Frame" of the car. The Amp's Ground Should Also be to a Clean, Bare Metal Surface on the Frame of the Car.

Hook a MM up to the Speaker Wires with the Volume up a bit. You will see ramdom, low Voltage. If your Multi Meter reads Positive Voltage, you have the Polarity Right, if your meter reads negative voltage, you are hooked up reverse. Another way to test this is to hook a wire to the speaker's terminals and plug in a 9v Battery. If you have the polarity right, the speker's cone will move out. If it is reversed, it will sink in. You can then compare notes as to what wire was plugged in to what terminal to determin what is what.

As a final thing, you can determin your car's wire colors by calling crutchfield and asking. 9/10 they will tell you, even if you didnt buy something.

Ah, no. The audio output of an amplifier is alternating current. Music is made up of of complex sine waves meaning that there is as much deflection in the positive direction and the negative one. Connecting a VOM up to a speaker wire on an AC scale ought to display some voltages.

The 9V battery trick is correct and the one I've been using for the last 30 years.

I'll bet a dollar - $0.95 that the gains aren't adjusted and $0.05 that one of the subwoofers is wired out of phase.

Sure it is - it's connected to the amplifier via that fuse ... I would rather see that fuse relocated to put it as close to the battery as possible - that way it's protecting as much of the wire as possible - including those connections to the cap.
