Question Center Channel speaker

Ok So next week Iam having the Alpine iva-w200 head unit, and the MRA-F350 5 channel amp installed in my car. I am debating weather I want to spend the money to have a center channel speaker mounted in the cubby in the dash. What are your guys expernience with 5.1 in a car is it worth the money or a waste? also What is a good speaker for the center channel? I have all MB Quartz speaker in my car and I want to make sure the center doesn't make my system sound bad.

I think you'd be too close to the speakers to fully enjoy a 5.1 setup. Even in a Suburban is pushing it IMO.

yeah the Z's rear speakres location is a bit close, you will need some hefty time delay on it...though then it may just sound weird...

i have done a few 5.1 surrounds in larger cars and suvs with good results, but a Z may be a bit too constrained
