JL Audio 500/5 Install
Hey guys, anyone out there doing a good stealth install? I am trying to figure out where to mount my JL 500/5 amp where it is out of sight.
I searched all over but everyone seems to mounting everything in plain sight. I just don't think its too smart to mount stereo equipment in plain site so I like to keep everything looking as stock as possible.
Is the stock sub chamber large enough to mount this amp in? Its freakin 20 inchs wide!
BTW Nazar you rock! I love that corner loaded sub that build. I gotta have oyou make me one along with a set of those door pods.
If any of you have any photos please post them or PM them to me.
Thanks

These guys are only 15" wide but fit in with ease. IIRC the width of the opening is 19" meaning that a 20" amplifier can go in sideways or tilted and then land flat.

I'll be done with my install by the end of the week, I'll post pics. I'm mounting a PPI PCX-480 and a cap behind the driver seat where the stock sub is. And I'm mounting a PPI PCX-2200 and a cap behind the passenger seat where the storage compartment is.
