depends on what type of sound and quality your after! if you DL the manual off JL's site for these you'll see that the 1000/1 is way to much power for them! According to them directly, anything above 250 is out of / over "optimum" range for them and will decrease the life and quality of the sub! Their specs and ratings are from that range, push them out of that by giving them more and the quality decreases

JL audio 500/1 puts out more than 700watts at 2ohm load. If u chose 3 JL 10d4 and wire them series then parallel, u will achieve 2.67 ohm which will give you around 700watts which in think is enough for those JL w3s. Another option would be the Precision power pcx-2200 rated at 800watts at 4ohm mono. DLS A6 is rated at 800watts at 2ohm mono. Phoenix gold ti600 is rated at 600watts at 4ohm mono. diamond audio D7152 rated at 600watts 4ohm mono. zapco AG 750 rated at 750 at 4ohm mono. All these amps will pound your 3 10w3V2. Make sure u give those subs at least 2 cubic foot all together.
thanks, ill look into those amps

get back to you with my desicion soon........
(do these go for W6s as well? which is a better sub)
