Default Battery dead in stock 05

I have a stock 05 which I use a few times every month (maybe 200-400 miles a month). I have a problem where my battery dies if I do not use the car for more than 2 weeks. Any suggestions? Could it be the alternator or just a flaky battery. I have about 6500 miles on the car and the car is 20 months old.

I had a weird problem a while ago, when I started the car,
my whole car was shaking and vibrating like next door nikky's dildㅇ.
Also the exaust note was like coughing grand ma... I thought it was
having a issue with engine but it's actually associated with battery problem and if you don't start the car often, battery dies itself. So when I don't drive Z for a week, I just start the car and let it sit for while and turn it off.

I have the stock stereo and the battery terminals are fastened. I am considering buying a tickle charger such that the battery does not go dead again.

I went on vacation for two weeks and when I returned, my battery was totally dead. The guage lights and other things wouldn't work... I mean DEAD... I have an Optima BlueTop (Marine Starting) 1000MCA 800CCA battery. I do have stereo equipment that probably contributes to a leak in power...

My Z was primarily a weekend driver/show car. It would sit for weeks, sometimes a month at a time without being started and I never had a problem in over 2-1/2 years. Something is definitely up with your car. It sounds like you've got something pulling current while the car is sitting or you just have a bad battery. I'd start simple and just spend a few bucks on a new battery and go from there. Is there ANYTHING aftermarket on your car?

I had to have the battery replaced in my 03 at around 12k miles. I just think Nissan is using crappy batteries.

If you go to a Sears Automotive or some place like it, they can check your battery to determine if it's keeping it's charge properly or not.

LOL...I've been wanting to put on some 590/10-18's, just so people will stop picking on me about my skinny back tires.
