You have power, Put in a CD and tried the Volume with no Luck?

You matched up all of the wires and Insulated them well when you hooked up the harness right?

You plugged in the Factory Antanae Lead?

Thumbs up

well if your amp is geting power but no sound, it seams that your amp remote wire (usually a light blue) is not hooked up right or is grounding. this wire is conected to the back of the HU and tells the amp to turn on. hopefully that helps. also make sure none of your connections is touching any metal.

OK guys, i have the same problem with no sound .
Here is the setup: I have a 05 Touring Z with bose and navi..
What i did is got an aftermarket headunit and an amp.
So, i took out the bose headunit and put mine instead. I wired everything with the MEtra wiring kit (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-YS4bGgX...7550&s=0&cc=01)
and everything seems to work except the sound.
So from my headunit the RCA's are connected to the Amp and the amp goes to the Metra harness to the speakers...
Since i could not hear anything, i got an extra speaker i had and connected it at one of the four outputs of the amp and i could get sound (tried all four outputs with success)
So the problem is between the harness and the speakers...
Does anybody have any ideas??? i triple checked the connections to the harness.. connected the right outputs of the amp to the right inputs that the metra harness cable codes describe... I have done a few other installs for other friends with no problems... i have no idea what it is...
please help!!

Question, since you got a your own amp, did you by-pass the bose amp in the trunk? If you hooked up your new amp using the metra harness at the head unit location then it is going thru the bose amp in back. If your going to use a aftermarket amp and stock wiring you have to hook up the speaker leads from you new amp in the trunk area. The bose amp is under the black foam next to the tire. Paul350z has some good pictures of this.

james, thanks... i will try to connect thru the trunk then not the metra harness.

Why do you say i need to connect the antenna lead and the oem bose lead to the new head unit?
The antenna is not motorized, and the bose unit is now obsolete... is there another reason?

behjjeh: i have not seen the "smart cable" but i will try first what james recommented. I also got new speakers so i am gonna try to install these and if i find problems i will just rewire everything! thanks for the reply!

Your Welcome
The antenna on the 350a has a powered amplifier witch needs to be connected or you will not get any radio signal. When you take the panels off in the trunk on the side of the antenna you will see the silver box nere the ant.
I was meaning, If you deside to use the bose unit instead of your new amp, that you would have to connect the power lead to the new head units remote on wire. But since you have the new amp and by-passing the bose unit you do not have to connect that lead.
