^^^ That looks SWEET! Nice Install!!!
Hey, I heard CDT are better speakers for in car than JL... Is this true? I do not want to screw this up and have to re-do it... LOL...
Got my 10.5" trunklid monitor on order
Now I got to start ordering the rest... I am starting with the 1000/1 & 450/4 amps and the Subs... The two 10W6's should be ok being run with the 1000/1 right?
THANKS!

speakrse is very relative, you will find audiophile who swear by totally different speakres..
to me, i am not a big can of cdt to be honest, my fav brands are DLS, Morel and AVI , and also the polk SR series...
but at the price you are listing, i think the JL xr is a good spekaer for sure

a guy i know has been in the sq game a while (sound quality) and has worked hand in hand with some companies to engineer his car to be great. he said boston acoustics is really stepping up their game lately and is one of the best out there. mbquarts used to be the best but he said the latest stuff just isnt as good as what they used to make.
im talking about components not subs or amps.

my friend has the XR's in an integra and the sound great. forget the rear and trunk lid speakers and invest in a set of ZR's for the front.

just so you know triji, there are a ton of fake DLS gear floating on ebay...
and also, DLS will not warranty any online sales, and will not even service any non-dealer purchased DLS gear at any cost...
i personally have had a customer come to me wtih fake DLS speakres he got off ebay... so just becareful...
i always say speakres and subs should never be bought without warranty, espeically if you like to pound from time to time as they are usuually the first things that go...if you blow a set of these, then your short lived savings can be a big 400 dollar plus hole in the wall
just my suggestion...

Ditto on the 10W7's. Either one of them or two 10W6's max.
I have the JL 3 way comps you pictured. The tweets and mids are in kickpanels, and the woofs are in the doors. They are very nice speakers, esp the woofers. Right now I am between sub setups and running without any. The woofers are nearly good enough to run without a sub! (esp. if you can seal the space they are in). GET A HEAD UNIT WITH A GOOD EQUALIZER!
I am also currently purchasing an EQ because my Clarion HU has no equalizer to speak of. The tweets/mids are way louder than the bass, even with the -2dB adjustment set on the crossovers.

dude that setup is going to sound like ****
why get two high end subs and then choke them of the space they need? would you buy a ferrari and swap engines with a civic?
getthe idmax's or something comparable or maybe the w6's. why get two 500 watt amps when you cna get one 1000 watta mp? seems like it would be cheaper.
and why in god's green earth do you want 3 sets of speakers in such a small car. if i was you i would take all the moey you were going to spend on all three sets and get one high end comp set for the front and deaden the hell out of your doors.
as far as the screens, i dont know, never been my thing.
good luck though
and dont limit yourself to one brand
edit:btw dont underestimate the positive effects the hatch will have on your bass.
