Default Quick speaker size question:

Searched around without much luck... I frequent about every section of the forum BUT this one, so forgive me if my question is absurd to all you audio guys...

I just need to know what the max speaker size and mounting depth is for the front and rear in the Z (without having to modify the door panels or rear trim).

Crutchfield say 5 1/4 in the doors, but I could have sworn there were people here putting 6.5 up front; what gives?

Both front and rears are 6.5".

You can go as deep as you want in the back as there's plenty of room behind the speakers there. In front you'll want to add a 1" or possibly a bit more spacer under the plastic inner door skin for if no other reason to put the speaker closer to the speaker grills. I mounted 2.75" deep component speakers in my door with a 1.25" spacer and moving the speakers a bit down and forward from their stock mounting holes.

Ok, cool; thanks. The front 6.5" components I'm looking at (Polk Momo MMC6500) are 2 11/16, so I should be good to go. Prob use the MMC650 in the rear.

Now I just need to decide on a headunit, amp, sub, etc.... ugh...
