I've lately downgraded my system to an amp producing a constant 600w or so to my speakers/sub combined, and am wondering if theres any lightweight battery I could get that would support this small of a system... looking to shed some pounds.

the optima yellow top doesn't fit the z does it? i tried to install one of these after my stock battery died and the positive and negative sides are reversed and the battery was short....is there anyway to make a yellow top fit?

 

they make reverse post batteries, but in my experience they are pretty hard to find sitting in a store. if you want to just keep the one you already have, you can get extensions for the wires. i got the optima red top r35, which has the posts on the correct sides. it weighs 33 lbs, and is a little smaller in dimensions than the stock battery.
