hey whats up guys. i was wondering what you guys thought of this head unit. its from alpine model number iva c800. a friend of mine is sellin but he doesnt know how much to sell it to me for. i wanted to know what you guys thought about it and how much you think i should offer him. thanks guys

 

Check out eBay...That unit is several years old. I owned one a few years back and liked it but the screen didn't always want to come up. Nice unit though!

I had one as well. That problem with the screen was very common on those units. I had three different units and they all had that problem. It was nice when it actually opened all the way. I also had it linked to my Alpine ERA-G320. Now, that was a nice piece. Id say for 300 Id probably do it. You may have to have the screen repaired. Make sure to get the remote as well. Also, some of those 800s had problems with the brain that goes under your seat. So, Id definitely take a look at it and make sure all of the functions still work. Just my 2 cents...
