Smile Alternative mounting locations for EZ-pass

OK, so I just installed my new Escort 8500 using the customZ bracket from countryjoycraft.com and an invisicord. It looks great (no pics till I wash the ride). BUT the big dumb white transmitter for EZ-Pass has to go.... somewhere else. Im looking for ideas as to where to mount this sore thumb thats not easily visible. Any thoughts besides up my A$$?

Sure. Tell EZPass that you drive a van and need a front plate transmitter.

How about painting it black and integrating it on your dash...

I think Ill move the big white transmitter to my DD truck and get one of those front plate transmitters. I would be hesitant to put it in the engine bay, I think it might not register going through the toll. Behind glass is one thing but surrounded by metal is another. I did consider painting it black and putting on the far side of the dash board, but I like the idea of davidv's transmitter better. Even though I dont have a front plate, I should still be able to mount it on the front grille in between the fins/vents.

Depending on where you live having it on the front plate makes it very easy to steal.

i'm sure that wouldn't work. here in Dallas, they give you a foil envelope thing with your toll tag for when you don't want to use it and want to pay manually.

Mine is a simple sticker with a small chip inside of it. I stuck it up next to the mirror. It is barely noticeable. In Houston they are slowly doing away with the 2"x4" plastic tags.

I painted mine flat black. It is virtually invisible now.
