Default No volume from rear speakers.

I have the no-Bose head unit. Just the other day I noticed that I have no volume from the rear speakers. I can adjust the fader front to rear, but still get no volume from the rear speakers.

Is a dead rear channel common with the no-Bose head unit?

Is troubleshooting rear speaker continuity worth the effort or should I assume that the internal rear amplifier is dead?

the factory speakers in the rear on the non- bose setup suck anyway. i forget what the resistance on them , somewhere around 30, so you won't get much sound out of them if they did work. either get your self a voltage meter or multimeter check the voltages or try replacing the speakers. if you get a new h/u relpace the rear speakers too.

Lol I would think a lot of people here would say that it isn't a bad thing that your rears went out. Do you enjoy the soundstage better now?
Stock rears didn't put out good quality sound anyway, but I'd say the rear channel went out on your headunit and it'd be up to you to buy a new one.

Thanks. I checked and the raer speakers are getting no signal. Problem is the head unit. To tell you the truth, I don't miss the rear speakers at all.
