Where there is a will, there is a way....id the stealership can do it, i am sure you can. But why go OEM? Why not go custom and be unique? Thats why we all mod our cars to begin with, to have the right to say that is MY Z, there is no other like it!

By the time your done implementing all the necessary factory wires and parts, you probably will spend twice the amount of cash that an aftermarket unit would cost. of course thats an estimate and I could be completly wrong, Ive never read about someone pulling that off here on this forum. The OEM systems cant compare with the feature list of the aftermarket units anyhow (no bluetooth connection to your phone, no built in HDD like the Z1 etc)

+1, no touch screen, no voice activation. I can't tell you how many times I get pissed when I want to put in a route (with a passenger doing it) and you have to come to a complete stop. Aggravating!

First let me say that ANYTHING can be done to your vehicle if you are willing to spend the money to get it done. That being said the short answer to your question is ....NO. Here's why; when the factory is building these cars the wiring is done according to what systems are being installed. If the car is spec'd to have NAV there are several harnesses an sensors that are integrated into the wiring of the vehicle that ARE NOT included on Z's w/o NAV. Now you COULD go to the dealer and they could install these harnesses....but it WILL cost major $$$. It will definately be cheaper to install an aftermarket unit,,,and you have the abilioty to choose the features you want. If you want an OEM look try the Panasonic D-1. That is the double din size unit that will flush mount where your radio currently resides. If you want to have the unit in the cubby where the OEM unit is located then you will have to get a screen to fit and get the nav brain unit separately. Aftermarket units will cost approx $1,500. You should be able to do the install yourself if you feel inclined. Hope that helps!!

FYI I have the Eclipse AVN-7000 installed in my Z. The unit is really nice. The Nav system is dead on accurate ( it's scary how accurate these things are!!). You can access all functions through the touchscreen and it has the 5V output; the sound system is excellent. Only pet peeve is there is no clock, and only 2 (two) aux outputs.
