Default ok MAthe Guys, Designing new box, How to cut the pieces!

I am going to lowes to get some 3/4 MDF wood cut for a smaller subbox, but I am unsure to ask the the guy at lowes how to cut the pieces. If anybody could help me I would appreciate it. I have taken the time to come up what I think needs to be cut out, but please somebody tell me if I am off a little bit here.

Total outside of the box should be 8.5H x 35.5L x 12.5.

So when I ask the guy to cut the would do I ask him to cut

2 pieces of 35 x 12.5
2 pieces of 7 x 33.5
2 pieces of 11 x 7

I think I am wrong on this somwhere!

Your advice would be greatly appreciated?

R,

Julius

Are you building the box to fit under the strut bar?

close, but the first 2 peices are off, here's what I came up with:

Box outer dimensions: 8.5 (Height) x 35.5 (Length) x 12.5 (depth)

2 peices: 35.5" X 12.5" (top and bottom)
2 peices: 35.5" X 7" (both long sides)
2 peices: 11" X 7" (both short sides)

hope that helps

you'd be better off buying a circular saw and some saw horses.
