Default infinity reference shallows clear the front door mount?

Infinity makes the reference speaker with a "shallow mount depth," is this shallow enough to clear the stock mounting bracket for the front doors. I know they are really shallow and most people get the spacers, but I am trying to keep the doors stock looking (stock grill).

If anyone has used these, please post ur experience fitting them, and how they sound. Thanks!

You can just buy the spacer kit (~$10 or so) and mount them behind the factory grill. It will look 100% stock, but you will have an MDF spacer there to ensure you have good clearance.

oh ok, i thought for some reason with the spacer it got to close to the grill and popped it out. Guess thats the case with only really bigtime speakers with a large exursion...

Anyone know how these sound? only 40 bucks a pair on ebay... 100 on crutcfield, but they have really good reviews on there.. Anything better in that cheap of a price range?

I have the reference speakers, bought for about 100 bucks on ebay, I got the 6010cs or something like that, and bought the spacers for about 20 bucks. Perfect fitment. no it doesn't hit the grill but it seemed like it was going to.
