hey i am looking for a new head unit for my 03z and i'd like one with an aux plug in or something like that for my ipod.... thanks in advance for your suggestions

I'm sorry, I just re-read your post above...Are you looking for a headunit with a specific aux plug, or any suggestions for Ipod hook-up?

For less than $300 -- Alpine CDA 9857
For less than $1000 -- Alpine IVA-W200 (price keeps dropping)

Both are excellent units. I bought the CDA9857 -- fits my current budget since also updated the speakers and added an amp and sub.

If your budget allows. You should look into the Avic-z1 from pioneer. With the separate ipod adapter you can have full on screen control. Not to mention it is the flagship navi system from pioneer.

I got a Panasonic for my Camaro at Circuit City for $79 that has an aux plug on the face to plug in an MP3 player. The unit works like a charm.

Alpine cda-9856. 200.00 plus 30 bucks for the high speed cable which will allow you to control the ipod right from the head unit and keep it charged. Its a basic display but has all the features that most will ever need.

Check out the new Clarion unit with a 7" touchscreen. It has the nifty on-screen iPod emulation as well as iPod video integration to allow you to display ipod videos on the screen.
