viper 791xv alarm issue

Default viper 791xv alarm issue

well last night as i am going to sleep. my alarm goes off and when i checked my remote it should the hood. so i run out with my bat and see no one around my car.i think to myself wtf. i go back to my room and lay down, 30 minutes later it goes off again. at this point i am pist. so i put it on vallet mode and go to bed. what do you guys think this could be, 2 false activations from the hood sensor

Was there heavy rain? or somone with loud bass driving by? This could all contribute to false alarms you could also try switching the sensitivity on the alarm.

no raining. or no bass. it was weird as hell. you think i should get it checked out.

also now when i activate my alarm it shows on the remote that my hood is open when its closed

any ideas

have you physically looked at your hood pin switch? sounds like it is broken or not functioning correctly this is a common problem with the hood pin switches that come with that alarm.. most of the time it is due to installation error

Most likely they tapped in to the OEM hood pin. Make sure they diode isolated the signal from the BCM. Also, make sure the hoodpin is lined up and not bent in any way.
