Default Switching out Voltage gauge

Does anyone know if I need to do anything special to remove the voltage gauge from the tripple gauges above the navi din? I am wanting to replace it with a boost gauge but I want to know if it does anything to the circuit board that the oil press and computer display gauges are attached to?

I couldnt imagine it would hurt anything...disconnecting it shouldnt be no different than say pulling a fuse.

i say disconnect it and drive the car around and see if anything happens?

its not a current guage, breaking the circuit will not hurt.

It's been a while since I was inside there but IIRC the gauges are glued into place from behind. Give it a shot and for goodness sake come back and tell us if it works and drop some pictures on us. That's going to be an rather nice custom modification if you get it to work.

Good luck.

Belay my last, looks like the triple gauge is held in by screws from the back. The "cups" around each meter are glued into place.
