hey does anyone or has anyone made a custom box.. if so would you happen to have made a writeup on it..?

what kind of box are you looking for? ported or sealed, Fiberglass or MDF(medium density fiber)...there's lots of stuff on the web on how to make all kinds of boxes, but you first need ot figure out what you're looking for.

ported - better for Rap/Hip Hop...
sealed - better for tightier bass (jazz, rock...)
fiber glass - made to fit curved surfaces, but harder and messier to make
MDF - doesn't have the flexibility as Fiberglass, (use 3/4" thickness or greater)

hope that helps...search around on this forum, lots of ppl have made some really nice custom systems.

16psibrick - search his SN, he's posted tons of pics of his quality installs
Nazar - search this too - he makes fiberglass boxes.

www.simplicityinsound.com there are some links on the front page

the one that says offical install log is the work, step by step , i did on my car, though its not a Z, it give some hint to the work involved

but yeah, "custom box" doenst narrow it down a bit

Just got done making a sealed box for a kicker L7 12" behind the rear speaker.
will have some pics in a day or two

since you are so close, can i subcontract you to sand? lol

my fingers are so sore after a few days of sanding the concave edges and nooks in this lol

LOL, no way, I hate sanding. I have some other FG projects on the white board I want to do but the sanding part is keeping me from even starting.

That amp rack looks cool.
