Default New System-Rear Speakers??????

Going to begin installation of the new system soon. Can't stand this Bose system. Anywas we're going with the pioneer z1 headunit and elemental design 6500 comps up front and 2 10" JL w7's in the back. My question is regarding the rear speakers though. Do we just take the bose ones out and call it a day? or do we actually upgrade the rear speakers to something.

Take them out and having nothing or replace them with better speakers??

The only thing the rear speakers ever did for me was add filler bass. Now that I've got a pair of 10s in the trunk, they're useless. You could go component and mount the highs in the center area so they aren't blocked by the seats, but in my opinion that would be overkill for such a small area. I believe I've heard that Nissan put some resistors on the rears as well, so if you do end up replacing them you'll need to run new wiring if you want them at 100% volume.

Yea i too feel that 2 comp sets would be overkill in a two seater. I guess i'm leaning towards just removing them, unless someone i can wire up the headunit to only use bluetooth/nav voice out of the rear speakers. Dunno if thats possible though.

I ran a set of components in the rear...I know most ppl don't like that, but I actually like how it sounds.

Yes, it is possible to to route your nav voice out the back speakers. They won't be loud, you can hear them only when the car is not moving fast, because adaptive volume control don't seem to work once I routed voice out to the back speakers.
