I installed everything, and I am not getting any sound. Both harnesses are pluged in and wired correctly. Can anyone help?

 

Does the head-end light up?

 

Yes. The unit lights up. Plays dvds. Recognizes my Ipod and all. However, I think that the guy who sold me the unit cut the factory speaker wires that go to the harness. Is that possible?

 

Yes that is possible....Some installers that are not using the speaker out from the headunit will sometimes snip the speaker leads off. I just zip-tie them. But, only if you are just using the pre-amp(RCA type) outputs of the headunit.
