Bose Speaker Cutting Out
Searched but could not find anything for this. I have an 03 Z with Bose speaker. Later my front left speaker has been cutting out (more like sounding its blown with minimal volume and lots of static). This is only happening when its in CD mode. When I turn on the radio it sounds just fine. The only logical assumption is that it could be the head unit. One night I drove over a pot hole (accidentally) and the speaker popped back in and started working. Now Im having the same problems again. Im hoping there is a fix for this because Im not in any mood to replace that head unit or put an aftermarket system in. Anyone else ever encounter this?

Go find the same pot hole?
Ok, in all seriousness, i do expierience somewhat of a static problem that sounds like the speaker is blown when i'm listening to cd. I don't have any advice to give you besides start saving up for something else cause the bose system really does suck.

I had the same problem once I changed my Bose HU to replace another malfunctioning one. I was going to see if I mess around with the HU and fix it but it seems like it has fixed itself.
Your head unit is broken. Search these forums, it has been discussed many times before. I had this same problem a couple of months back. Come to find out I had a refurbished Bose unit in my Z. Something about a connection coming loose inside the unit. You can always try to beat on the left side of the center console, close to the HU. Worked for a while then it would do it again but more frequently. If you are still under warranty they will replace the HU for free.
