Default A-pillar pod installation? help guys?

hi,
i just got me 3 gauges and a triple a-pillar pod for the Z.

Gauges:
1. Water Temp
2. Oil Temp
3. Boost

Q1: How do you get the gauges sender unit wires through the firewall on that side of the car? for boost the tube? is there a grommet somewhere i can poke through on that side of the car?

Q2: Where do you mount the oil temp sender and the water temp sender? ive heard somewhat of mouting a fitting on the factory water temp location and putting a Tee? what are my options for these two?

Q3: Power: im planning on getting my power and grounds from the fuse box in the driverside foot area. probably the acc fuse or something and then grounding to frame or steel down there.

any help is appreciated. thanks,
jason

Let me try to help you here on some of these questions...

Q1: There should be a large grommet that runs thru the firewall. With the hood open, just pop off the "fluid" cap and look deep in there. You will see a larger grommet with a lot of wiring and other stuff running thru it. You will likely have to poke a hole in that grommet to get the wiring and tubing thru.

Q2: The best thing to do is to buy a Blitz Cooling Performer for $100. This replaces the stock upper radiator hose and has a bung in it for the water temp sensor. For the oil temp sensor, get on Ebay and find a Oil Filter Sandwich Adapter for around $40. I think the vendor for it is Maxspeed Motorsports or something like that. It comes with 3 X 1/8" NPT threaded holes already. To install it, you simply remove the oil filter and install this adapter between the filter and the block and that is where you oil temp sensor installs.

Q3: My gauges got their power and ground from the clump of wiring that is next to the fuse block that you speak of.

Hoep this helps.

What??.. a Boost gage but no O2 gage??
If you plan to run boost then you should also plan to put an O2 gage in.
