Phoenix Gold Xenon X200.4 review?!?!?!?!
Phoenix Gold Xenon X200.4 .....does anyone have one on this site?
I know the Phoenix Gold Xenon X200.4 doesn't compare to Zapco of Arc amps, but who here loves this PG X200. I'm looking for opinions from actual owners of this amp or people who "actually" heard it through some GOOD components.
Alot of people are telling me PG are good SQ amps. Does this one have good SQ? I remebered when they first came out years and years and my impression is that they were entry level at best. Don't know about now but I do like this one.

I have the PG Xenon 200.4 in my Z. It's currently powering a pair of MB Quart References (rears) and a pair of MB Quart Q-series (fronts). It does sound really good (very clear), but honestly I'm not enough of an "audiophile" to be able to know what *really* sounds good. Have you tried going to some car audio forums? Try www.caraudio.com and www.caraudioforum.com
www.soundbuggy.com has a large amount of PG followers
I own and use the x200.4
The components used in the Xenon series are comparable if not superior to those used in the ultra high end amps. The circuit design behind the components is above pair for the price range the amps were designed to compete in.
I like most about the amp that it has plenty of head room. 200 watt is more than enough for most components as you well know. Each output has 6 TO-3P outputs per channel, more than enough.
This guy says more and much more eloquently why the 200.4 is a solid amp:

Anyway, the xenon line was plagued with bad units but the issues with that have been since sorted out as it was a fault with the factory, not the engineering.
