Default Navigation is DEAD!

My oem navi wont turn on? the door the opens to the navi works fine but the navi system its self wont power on. Couple days before it stopped working completley it would flicker on and off and then go back on. Anyone had this issue? does it sound like a fuse? if so where is the navagation fuse located? thanks

try temporarly dissasembling the center dash section! I had an issue where the door would open but not exacly quite the entire way. it needs ever little mm to open then it powers on the screen! i removed the dash and opened it up by pressing the button outside and when it opened all the way the screen came on! the door is retarted! it has to open all the way!

Then if thats the case, play with reassembly and you should get it to work! if its more than the door not opening all the way then good luck! cause other than that i would think you would need the brain that the door is attached too replaced!

Step 1: where the nav buttons are! pull up on that! you can use your finger nails if you want get a screw driver! but i dont like screwdrivers near the screen! so i would use your finger nails and pull!

Step 2: then pull up on the part around the shifter! it just pops right up!

Step 3: disconnect the wire behind the a/c controls! that ribbon wire goes to a weird white box called the unimeter!

Step 4: there are about 4-6 screws that are visible now! the heads are looking right at you! you can tell they are holding the center dash in! remove those 4-6 and save!

step 5: pull up on the entire dash center section! once its kinda removed there are 2 wires connected to the upper three gauges! but i would say stop there and turn the car on and see if the nav door opens all the way and fixes the problem>?

hey, does your spacer allow you to still use the stock strut bar? or does it hit?
