Default Zenclosure 12" box??? HELP!!!

Hey everyone. Just wondering if anyone has, or has heard, what the 12" box firing upwards towards the hatch sounds like? Im stuck in between getting 1 W6 12" or getting the box that holds the two tens and getting the new W3v3's. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

go with the single 10 box and the 10w3v3 with a 500/1 and you will be pounded out of your car LOL

I have a Zenclosure box w/2 10" Image Dynamics subs and I gotta say they sound great!! The look is totally OEM - mine had the matching black felt covering!! IMHO I suggest you go with 2 10'S if you want a "tight" sound. The 2 12's will give more "boom". Just my 2c

I have the 12" box. It sounded like crap when i fist got it. The speaker was placed in front of the strut bad closer to the seats. I turned the box around so the speaker is behind the strut bar and it sounded a ton better.

Go with 2 with 2-10"s it will sound way better and cleaner. I'm running 2 10" soundstream subs with 1000watt soundstream amps and they sound so clean.

I would stick with the 2 tens or 1 ten box...

That 12" box/design looks horrible.

BTW, excellent enclosures for the money.

I appreciate all the info guys. I went ahead and bought the 1 12" box that fires towards the rear from xtreme kustoms. I will be putting 1 12" W3V3 in it with a 400 watt alpine amp. I will post back and let everyone know how it sounds. Thanks guys!!

You want your subs firing the back of the car not the ceiling in the 350Z

Not a bad design, but I like using the space that my JL Stealthbox currently uses. I just want better subs and the stealthbox only handles a certain size of tens. I'm still looking for a box that:
1) Holds a single 12' (using an MTX T8500)
2) At least 8 inch depth
3) Fires to the rear
4) Uses the space between the rear speakers and the strutbar

I might have to fiberglass something myself to meet all those requirements.
I'm doing a raised floor in the rear for my new amp and I don't want a box that intrudes into the rear past the strutbar.
