Default Rear View Cameras Reviews...

Hi everyone,

I have been looking around on this site for sometime now and finally i came to a dead end. I couldn't find anything on rear view camera placement or which type of rear view camera to use. I see alot of different ways to do it, like drilling a hole in the bumper, license plate camera, mount next to the license plate light, etc.. im am just so confused.

so i bought my alpine w200 today and wanna get a rear view camera to go with it when i install but i dunno which one. Ebay has a lot but i cant tell which one is good or not. if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance!

I would go with a quality Japanese rearview camera. Alpine actually makes a very good and very small one called HCE-C100. However, afaik they don't sell them in the States but are available in Europe and Asia.

Check out my install...I used a panasonic unit which is also very small and works pretty well in low light conditions.

If your looking for a good one and one that does not require modification. Here is one, http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5782.html

on this subject, which color is the wire that feeds 12V+ to the rear reverse lights or how can i tap in so the camera turns on only when in reverse?

Another one (looks like it might be the same camera), except in a black license frame: http://www.autotoys.com/x/cust/produ...productid=6621 --Spike

That's the one I have. Haven't hooked it up yet, but I have heard good reviews. Make sure if you get one built into the license plate frame, it is a metal frame.
