Alpine 6 1/2" type R components- 154.99
Alpine type R 10' sub- 129.99
- or-
Image Dynamics IDQ10v2.d2 ( came highly recommended) 10' sub-159.99

I heard of a really good amp that puts out great power and is pretty cheap, I just can't think of the name right now.

You can get whatever you like. I listened to the Eclipse and the Alpine, I thought they were just about even, but since I have the Alpine head unit, I leaned toward them. ( I actually broke down and bought the Focals)
I'll send you a pm with a site that has pretty good prices.

Thanks. Wait, you guys have to teach me a bit about speakers. Do I just get any 5 1/4 comps? Is there a power range, etc I need? How about subs? What power, ohms (whatever those are)? And the amp? How many channels? What power, etc?

Get a set of Infinity Perfect 5.1 for the front - ebay
Hifonics Zues 4ch amp
Image Dynamics IDQ10
For a head unit, get a Pioneer 4900 or similar (use crutchfield, they include all instructions harnesses and brackets which is very helpful)
If you want a satellite radio tuner, I have a GEX-P10XMT that I'll sell you.
Knuconceptz 4ga wiring kit from ebay.

Questions:

- 5.1 with two front speakers? I don't get it.
- Why a 4ch amp? Don't I need one for the sub and two for speakers?
- For the sat tuner, don't I need the Pioneer for Sirius tuner?
- Are you sure that this is the right kit, because I'm about to buy it?

Thanks!!

P.S. The deck I have is the Pioneer P80MP

-5.1 is the model number, not to be confused with a home theater 5.1 dolby digital setup.

-you want a 4-ch amp so you can use channels 1 & 2 on the front components and then bridge together channels 3 & 4 to power the sub.

-Sirius tuner: looking at the pic of your DEH-P80MP Pioneer, it says XM, not Sirius. So you would need an XM tuner. Here is what you need from Crutchfield: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-VqIKBC3...sp?i=130P920XM

-That Knukonceptz kit will work.

Since you have a box and a head unit and you are ordering the wiring already, you are halfway there.......
get some:
6 1/2" components for the front ($50 off): http://www.crutchfield.com/S-VqIKBC3...splay=Infinity
a 4-ch amp: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-VqIKBC3...splay=Infinity
a sub: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-VqIKBC3...splay=Infinity

Wait, how exactly do I install comps? Do I have to drill holes in my doors or something?
