Bose display question
Is there any way to adjust the brightness of the display on the Bose 6CD unit independent of the dashboard light dimmer? When I have the dash lights set to the appropriate level (not too bright, not too dim) the Bose display is pretty dim ... anybody else have this issue?

Can't read the display
I wear polarized sunglasses while driving the Z. I can't see the display at all. But, if I take the glasses off, the bose display is so dark that I can't see it in the daylight. If anyone comes up with an answer please let me know.

I've put a USA Bose in my UK car so that I could use the PAC AAI-NIS for aux input.
When the lights are off the LCD light is on but no buttons are illuminated on the unit.
When the lights are on the LCD light goes off.
The buttons are never illuminated - are they meant to be?
I presume that the pins are reversed on the UK harness for some perverse reason. I can sort this out easily enough to get the LCD light on when the head lights are turned on by swapping the wires. But I am puzzled by the fact that there is no illumination of the buttons. The UK unit had illuminated buttons. Does the USA Bose HU have illuminated buttons?
