It would have been completely genius to put another locking storage spot there!
for right-hand-drive Z's, the 2 compartments are switched...so the sub is always behind the driver's seat, and storage compartment behind the passenger. you can buy a 2nd storage compartment and put it behind the driver's seat if you want.
I'm working on a sub setup to go in this spot. I've just got to get my cd player in Thursday and mount the amp and run wires. Shouldn't take too long to do it all. I've got the sub mounted and the panel painted.
I know it won't sound the best but I don't want to lose any trunk space.
I wish I could put my amp behind the sub but it takes forever to get that sub panel off. I guess the amp is going under the passenger seat. Wires will probably be easiest to get there.

That's what I originally wanted to do. I thought I saw a kit that would convert it into another storage, but I can't find it. Will a standard kit (behind passenger seat) work?
Two Carver amps I've had since back in the day and my new Boston Acoustics Z6 crossovers. I filled the space with expanding foam to give me a level surface to work with AND deaden sound. I put 3/4 MDF on top of that for the mounting surface. Still would like to do some improvements.
