amp install w/ pics & dimensions
I installed my amp rack a few weeks ago that I had bought from someone on the forum...some ppl have asked about the dimensions, so here's a few photos and the dimensions that I could measure w/ it already installed (i also showed the dimensions of the L brackets used to mount this...there were 4 L brackets, all the same size that were used to mount it;
**I did not make this - the design is not mine **
the cut edge goes to the driver's rear of the compartment...it's needed to clear the interior.
it's a tight fit getting the amp rack in, but it does fit.
hoe that help for anyone else who's thinking of making this,

Yeah, it IS a tight fit. I had to loosen and swing one of the front brackets out of the way to get it in, then screw it back down.
If anyone is planning on making their own, I'd also recommend making it out of something a bit thiner and lighter than the MDF this is made of; it's uneccessarily thick and heavy.

it is a good rack
but you need an amp small enough to get in that cubby hole
my mono amp and mid and high amp are to large
also runing at 4 ohms heat won't be an issue , running at 2 or 1 ohm may create too much heat with some amps , heat dissappation is important for some units
for most members it is a good place , and safe from prying eyes

How big are your amps? The 5 channel Kicker amp is like 21" long; pretty big and it fits with room to spare.
I have my fronts/rears running at 4 ohms, but the sub at 2. Hopefully I won't have heat issues (don't drive the car much this time of year). You can always install cooling fans, though, plus I put in the stock bose grill trim panel to provide ventilation.
