Questions for an enclosure...
I just ordered one Elemental Designs SQ10 and i was wondering if anybody can give me some ideas/dimensions for the enclosure. It says ideally that it would need a .5cf enclosure. I want to put the sub in the stock position behind the driver seat. I know that a lot of you won't suggest that because of the quality of the sound, but I listen to mainly rock music and wasn't very interested in a hard hitting sub (which is why I bought the SQ10). So, any ideas would be great. Thanks.

Well what you need to do is determine the smallest box size that will fit in the spot once you have taken into account the displacement of the sub plus the .5cuft. Once you do that, you can play with the numbers to see what fits best in the spot. If I were you, I wouldn't mess with the stock location and just get a ZEnclosures box as it will provide what you are looking for and you don't have to custom make anything.

Hey guys take it from me i bought a zenclosure box for two 10" subs and man that box was small. I put two rockford p3 tens and their was no space behind for them to breathe. No air or space, the subs ended up rattling and making a wierd popping sound because they had no air and the box was too small. Thats only if ur putting two 10" subs.on the other hand the box for one 10" sub was excellent because their was alot more air for that single sub.

hey bud, i will help you out.
the sq10 can go in as small as a .3 but yes. .5 would be nice to get the most out of the low freq...
if you are going to do behind the seat, get one of wicked CAS's boxes and do it...
but being that its sucha think sub, if you dont mind doing an understrut, you can get a box that fits completely with in the confines of the strut...i believe zenenclosures makes a single 10... or infact, contact mike, hes in a partnership wtih Ed, so ask him if he can build you a understrut box specifically for hte sq10?

Or wickedcas almost has one that can go in the cornor of the hatch. That is what i am doing cause i didn't want to loose any truck space. Was goning to go with the stock sub location but doesn't sound that good i hear. So the cornor hatch doesn't take much space and you can use the stock location for your amps. Best of all maintian most of your storage space and looks stock/stealth.
